Develop and enhance SONiC components, services, platform interfaces, and networking applications. Debug complex networking problems across the full software and hardware stack: Application/Protocol * SONiC * SAI * ASIC SDK * Network ASIC * Packet Forwarding. Analyze packet-forwarding behavior to determine whether issues originate in the control plane, SONiC infrastructure, SAI, ASIC programming, hardware, or network configuration. Work closely with network ASIC vendors to understand SDK/SAI interactions when investigating forwarding or hardware-programming issues. Develop software that programs and manages switching hardware through SAI. Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues, protocols, and technologies. Build tools and automation that improve debugging, observability, testing, and operational reliability of the network platform. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, qualification, and production troubleshooting. Collaborate with network architects, hardware engineers, ASIC vendors, validation teams, and operations teams to deliver highly reliable networking platforms. ## Related Videos - [Docker network without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1418-docker-network-without-docker) - [Go with the Flow: Stop the Leaks Before Your Memory's a Waterfall!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100073-go-with-the-flow-stop-the-leaks-before-your-memory-s-a-waterfall) - [Creating a routing app with Google Maps API from scratch](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/831-creating-a-routing-app-with-google-maps-api-from-scratch) - [How Cisco embraced a DevOps culture within its network engineering team](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/99-how-cisco-embraced-a-devops-culture-within-its-network-engineering-team) - [Docker exec without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1094-docker-exec-without-docker) - [A Technical Introduction to Bitcoin's 2nd Layer- The Lightning Network](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/15-a-technical-introduction-to-bitcoin-s-2nd-layer-the-lightning-network) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [7 Important Tips That Every Software Developer Should Know](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/101-7-important-tips-that-every-software-developer-should-know) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Steps to Get a Software Engineer Internship](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/160-steps-to-get-a-software-engineer-internship)
