## About the Role

* Must be proficient in Solidworks 3-D modeling\n
 * 2-4 years industry experience minimum\n
 * Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written\n
 * Excellent project management skills\n
 * Cross functional collaboration necessary\n
 * US Citizenship required for US Department of Defense work\n
 * Familiarity with the defense/aerospace industry\n
 * BS in a technical discipline or equivalent hands on experience\n

## Description

* Design and optimization of electro-mechanical components, including connectors, connector compo-nents, fixtures, tools, and connector and cable accessories.\n
 * Develop fixture, testing, and tooling drawings to ensure TopFlite processes remain as efficient as possi-ble. \n
 * Work with maintenance personnel on a regular basis to ensure manufacturing areas are well equipped and running efficiently.\n
 * Test components and assemblies when necessary.\n
 * Communicate regularly with the department manager to ensure responsibilities are being carried out as required.\n
 * Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.\n
 * Maintains paperwork and daily activities that conform to TopFlite's AS9100 compliant quality man-agement system.\n
 * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer generated reports.\n
 * Attend meetings as necessary and complete action items in timely manner.\n
 * Confer with other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.\n
 * Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.\n
 * Will assist in providing product costing for Sales staff.\n
