## About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for improving transportation and transportation safety. This role involves working on innovative projects with our Federal partners at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. If you have a proven track record in data analysis, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to make meaningful contributions in solving transportation-related challenges, we'd like to hear from you., * Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US.

 * Experience: 8+ years in data analysis, with expertise in:Collecting, preparing, and cleansing large data sets.
 * Analyzing structured and unstructured data.\
 * Developing insights and recommendations through data visualizations.
 * Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

 * Proficiency in R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
 * Expertise in statistical analysis, modeling, and database design.
 * Experience with programming tools like Python, Oracle, MATLAB, etc.

Soft Skills:

 * Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 * Curious and inquisitive nature with a desire to explore new approaches to problem-solving.

## Description

* Provide technical and analytical support for research initiatives and decision-making at multiple levels within government agencies or industry.
 * Collect, cleanse, and analyze large and complex data sets.
 * Utilize tools like R, SQL, and either Tableau or PowerBI to create data-driven solutions.
 * Apply modeling and statistical techniques to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends.
 * Collaborate with teams to assess and solve transportation-related problems.
 * Develop visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
