You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of business intelligence to support the operational, planning, public health and performance monitoring requirements for systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) across WoSCAN. You will support the 4 West of Scotland NHS Boards (NHS Ayrshire & Arran, NHS Forth Valley, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Lanarkshire) to maximise use of data extracted from CEPAS to support clinical, strategic and business planning. This post requires highly developed information technology and analysis skills using R software with extensive knowledge and experience of data capture and reporting. Effective and confident communication skills are necessary. Degree-level qualification with substantial numerical, analytical and statistical content. A hybrid working model is currently in place for home working and base location at the Gartnavel campus. All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met., * Degree-level qualification with substantial numerical, analytical and statistical content. * Skills gained through a mixture of internal and external formal training, e.g. graduate diploma qualification. * Experience of Information Management in a healthcare environment * Specialist knowledge of the organisation's information requirements. * Highly developed IT and information analysis skills with an in-depth specialist knowledge of R software and experience of application of NHS data definitions, information standards and policies is essential. * Highly developed knowledge and experience of data capturing and reporting on medium to large scale database systems, methodology for robust data analysis and presentation, through acceptance testing and validation. * Effective and confident communication skills are required to present, advise and instruct analysis, procedures and standards to a senior audience. ## Description * Day to day management of the information service function relating to SACT and associated services for the region. * Interact with staff associated with other oncology related information and database systems (e.g. West of Scotland Safe Haven, Public Health Scotland, QPI Cancer Audit), both inside and outside the West of Scotland. * Contribute to the design and development of user focused clinical management reports and the production of accurate and timely regular and ad-hoc reporting. * Responsible for information requirements gathering, including analysis, preparation and presentation of SACT datasets, supporting health needs and treatment outcomes research and audit, epidemiology, service management and redesign. * To support as required the information management aspects of capacity management activity across the West of Scotland, with specific focus on SACT data, and ensure that all statutory information is timeously and accurately provided. * Prepare data and reports relating to clinical outcome and patient management for senior management approval, working closely with the Advanced Cancer Care Pharmacist Electronic Prescribing in response to approved requests. * Develop information governance approval processes and procedures enabling information requests and provision to be managed within Caldicott rules and the existing regional data sharing agreement. * Support the development of policy and regional procedures, to ensure consistency and quality of clinical datasets, information capture, analysis, and distribution processes. * Ensure quality of reported data/information by developing appropriate information quality and validation processes.
