## About the Role

* On course for a degree in Software Engineering (or related discipline)
 * Understanding of Open Systems Architectures and Principles
 * Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
 * Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with people at all levels both within the company and externally
 * Computer literacy to operate information systems. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
 * Strong team focus
 * Strong time management skills
 * Ability to work independently at times under own initiative
 * Ability to use own initiative when working under pressure
 * Prioritise and manage personal workload to ensure deadlines are achieved.
 * Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas

Desirable primary software/system skills:

 * Java / JavaFX / Netbeans / Eclipse
 * C++ / Visual Studio
 * HMI design and development / User-centric design
 * Information Assurance, Cyber/Network Security
 * Software testing & verification
 * Experience/familiarity with software development lifecycles
 * UML / Enterprise Architect for system/software design
 * Atlassian Toolset (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence)

## Description

* Responsible for supporting and delivering key software products across the product lifecycle.
 * Working closely with the project teams including the System Design Authority, Engineering Manager and Team Engineers
 * Attending client and supplier meetings.
 * Attending and supporting equipment tests.
