Knowledge and experience (will be developed in the job role if not held) * Understanding of systems engineering principles and their application across the Concept, Definition, Delivery and Qualification phases. * Awareness of requirements capture, analysis and management. * Awareness of Model Based Systems Engineering, SysML or system modelling tools. * Awareness of verification, validation and system integration. * Experience of producing clear technical documentation. * Knowledge of maritime, naval, unmanned, sonar or other complex engineering systems., The successful candidate must be able to achieve full SC (Security Clearance). ## Description * Supporting the capture, analysis and management of stakeholders and system requirements. * Assisting with the development of system models, architectures and interface definitions. * Contributing to verification, validation, integration and qualification activities. * Producing specifications, reports and other technical documentation. * Working with software, electronics, mechanical and test engineering teams. * Contributing to technical reviews and presenting findings to project stakeholders. Challenges * Developing an understanding of complex maritime systems. * Extracting key information from technical material. * Learning and applying systems engineering methods, processes and tools. * Balancing graduate development activities alongside project assignments. * Progressively taking greater responsibility as competence develops., * Supporting the capture, analysis and maintenance of system requirements using formal requirements management tools. * Assisting with the development and maintenance of system models and architecture artefacts. * Contributing to functional analysis, interface definition and system design activities. * Supporting verification, validation, integration and qualification activities. * Producing clear and accurate technical documentation using company standards and templates. * Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contributing to technical reviews. * Following applicable engineering processes, standards and configuration controls. * Participating fully in the Graduate Scheme and taking responsibility for personal development.
