Must be able to lead by example. * Working understanding of Enterprise Design Patterns and when to apply them * Requires excellent experience with IBM MainFrame and zOS. * Knowledge of zOSMF is a plus. * Experience with Image Copy / reorg/ load /unload utilities is desirable. * Must have direct Experience with RACF, and how it protects DB2 resources, CICS transactions. * Experience with SERVAUTH is a must. * Experience with scalability and concurrent processing. * Experience working with large development teams and other Architects. * Extensive Experience programing in COBOL, CICS and also using DB2, especially with SQL, indexes and explain plans * Must be an expert in navigating IBM MainFrame, developing MF applications using COBOL, Assembler, and JCL. * Working understanding of zOS connect is highly valuable. * Having skills with Python or Java is a plus. * Working knowledge of modern NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, and cloud solutions such as DataBricks desirable. ## Description Mainframe Solution Architect as a member of the Enterprise Architecture Team with principle focus on IBM Mainframe Applications and Solutions, The Mainframe Solution Architect is responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions for complex applications that are implemented on IBM Mainframe, but also including integrations with other platforms. They work directly with Application Architects and MF development teams to implement those solutions and assist in delivering them into production. They are responsible for communicating Architecture and Enterprise standards and best-practices and ensuring they are reflected in the MF applications and integrations. The Architect is proficient in the COBOL programing language, DB2 SQL and zOS. They have an understanding of basic Enterprise Design Patterns and how to apply them.
