You'll own how safety-relevant software gets built and scaled - taking the safety concept and architecture and realizing it through the development process to production. This role will cover projects such as localization, fail-safe communications, and motion-stopping, using estimation, monitoring, and safe software design best practices to build up safety functions. You will shape how we ship safety rigor across the stack as we scale., * Own projects such as signal redundancy, sensor fusion, safety-critical state estimation, and fail-safe wireless communications * Implement highly performant, real-time software for critical safety functions on robots that mitigate both machine and human hazards * Cross-collaboration with computer vision / firmware / systems teams to realize safety goals and deliver safety-critical software in a scalable and agile environment * Select and integrate the safety-relevant toolchain, including safety-rated or qualified compilers, static analysis, and coding-standard tooling * Contribute to HARA and software DFMEA from the implementation side, informing the safety analysis with realistic failure modes and mitigations * Build robust diagnostic tools to detect, reproduce, and root-cause faults in the field * Mentor software developers and contribute to increased test coverage and coding best practices across the stack ## Related Videos - [Playing Pong on a shoulder press machine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100140-playing-pong-on-a-shoulder-press-machine) - [Robots are coming into the wild!
