## About the Role

* Technical degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent 2-5 years of work experience in reliability engineering position
 * Track record of defining reliability targets and test plans for consumer electronic products Experience driving the design of test setups for reliability testing
 * Statistical experience such as Weibull++ or familiarity with different accelerated test models
 * Solid understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
 * Comfort with fast-paced, startup atmosphere -- you don't shy away from the hard work
 * High level of maturity, ownership, and pride in your work

## Description

What you'll do
As a robotics reliability engineer on the team, you will be responsible for driving all the reliability requirements across different sub-systems - especially as it pertains to motors, mechanisms and electronics

 * Work with design engineers to understand the physics of failure and apply them to designing accelerated test methods to represent field behaviors
 * Oversee the design and build of test setups for different loading scenarios - fatigue, vibration and shock, temperature and humidity, etc.
 * Perform root cause failure analysis at different stages of testing
 * Prepare concise and detailed test plans, driving test execution, analyzing test reports and presenting results to all relevant stakeholders
 * Create and manage fleet analytics pipelines to systematically identify and eliminate field failures
 * Lead design initiatives that require particularly detailed reliability oriented testing and analysis
 * Strengthen DFR practices while acting in a cross disciplinary fashion spanning across all functions of mechanical, electrical and software engineering
