## About the Role

GuideMe is currently looking to add a passionate, hard-working PHP developer to our small startup team that is rethinking and improving the experience of local discovery.

We are working with the latest social, mobile, and location-based technologies and taking on difficult technical challenges to build a consumer application and platform that we are aiming to be used by millions of people.

We expect our team to work very hard, work well together, and be self-starters who take on great responsibility without bureaucracy and without much oversight. Passion for web and mobile applications is a must, and you need to be willing to work hard, fast, and effectively to help build something great that helps a large number of people., Years of experience doesn't matter, are you great?

 - BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or similar preferred
 - PHP, Javascript/jquery, and CSS experience is required
 - Amazing web development talent
 - Experience with mobile and location services a plus
 - Experience with APIs of social services a plus
 - Good system administration skils
 - Experience with compilers, distributed systems, and machine learning a plus
 - Ability to have fun and work hard required
