Equivalent professional experience may be considered. + 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, or cloud automation. + 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience. * Experience working in AWS GovCloud or comparable regulated cloud environments. * Strong Python scripting experience. * Strong experience using AWS CLI for automation and cloud operations. * Hands-on experience with Amazon S3. * Experience implementing and managing S3/Glacier lifecycle policies and archival solutions. * Hands-on experience with AWS DataSync. * Hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP and/or SnapMirror. * Experience performing large-scale data migrations and transfers. * Experience managing terabyte- to petabyte-scale datasets. * Experience automating data movement, synchronization, validation, archival, and retrieval. * Understanding of cloud data lifecycle management. * Experience monitoring and troubleshooting high-volume data transfers and storage operations. * Understanding of cloud storage, data transfer, retrieval, and cost optimization. * Experience supporting secure data flows between AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments. * Knowledge of cloud security and compliance requirements. * Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred Skills and Experience * AWS certification such as Data Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Developer. * Experience supporting FedRAMP or federal government cloud environments. * Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code tools. * Azure cloud or data services experience. * Experience with enterprise storage platforms. * Experience supporting evidence, records, litigation, FOIA, investigative, or other highly controlled datasets. * Experience with database, data integration, or data processing technologies. ## Description GovCIO is seeking a Cloud Data & Automation Engineer to support the migration and ongoing management of DCS's large-scale evidentiary data environment within AWS GovCloud. The engineer will focus on data migration, automation, storage lifecycle management, replication, archival, retrieval, and secure data movement across AWS, Azure, and VA on-premises environments. The position requires strong hands-on experience with Python, AWS CLI, S3/Glacier, DataSync, SnapMirror, and large-scale data migration.
