You're comfortable in a real dbt project, including staging/intermediate/marts layering, macros, tests, and documentation. * Snowflake proficiency. Comfortable writing performant queries, understanding warehouse behavior, and partnering on modeling decisions that have cost implications. * Comfort with Python for data work. Experience using Python for data transformation, scripting, and analysis - including scripting the occasional custom pipeline where a managed tool falls short. * Subscription, ecommerce, or consumer-health analytics background. Cohort retention, LTV, CAC payback, funnel analytics, and subscriber lifecycle should be native vocabulary, not something you're learning on the job. * Real experimentation chops. You've designed, run, and read out experiments. You know when a test is underpowered, when a result is suspicious, and how to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders. * Stakeholder partnership instincts. You can take a vague request from marketing or finance, scope it, deliver, and follow up without your manager in the loop. You push back when a stakeholder is asking the wrong question, and you do it diplomatically. * Comfort with regulated and sensitive data. You take PHI and PII seriously, you understand why governance exists, and you've worked in environments where data sensitivity shaped your decisions. HIPAA experience is a strong plus, though the right disposition matters more than the specific credential. * Strong written communication. Slack threads, dashboards with context, exec-ready writeups. You make complex analyses legible to non-technical readers. It's a plus if you have * Healthtech, digital health, or clinical-adjacent analytics experience * First or early data hire experience at an earlier-stage startup * Experience working alongside a research or biostats team * Curiosity about AI-powered analytics, including what works, what doesn't, and where it actually helps ## Description We're looking for our second data hire to partner across the full stack of Evvy's data ecosystem. You are both a data engineer and an analyst. You are a creative problem-solver, strategic thinker, and a relentless executor. You don't reinvent the wheel, but also are excited to break the mold of traditional BI. You'll collaborate closely with our tech team and leaders across finance, marketing, product, operations, and clinical to design, build, and maintain a modern data architecture that drives critical decisions, supports self-service analytics, and fuels rapid, data-driven innovation. This is a unique opportunity to own the full data stack from data engineering to analytics and insights, helping us transform vaginal healthcare through data. Evvy is a primarily in-person team based in New York, NY. Given the cross-functional nature of this role, our ideal candidate is located in NYC. What you'll do * Partner on data projects across the business. Work side by side with our data team to serve cross functional data needs, with each of you taking point on different relationships and projects as the work flows. * Drive analytical depth across commercial functions. Marketing attribution and lifecycle, subscription retention and LTV, ops and fulfillment reporting, finance and unit economics, and product analytics in partnership with our PMs. * Build and maintain the analytics layer of our dbt project. Marts and intermediate models that serve your stakeholders, with thoughtful documentation, testing, and lineage hygiene - and partnering on the pipelines (mostly Stitch * Snowflake, with the occasional custom extract where Stitch doesn't reach) that feed them. * Enable self-service. Designing dashboards, automations, and underlying semantic models so finance, ops, marketing, and clinical leaders can answer their own questions without coming to data for every cut. * Design and read out experiments. Partnering with PMs and marketing on A/B tests, retention experiments, and funnel optimization, from hypothesis through statistical readout. * Own the analyses that drive decisions. The work that shows up in board decks and exec reviews, including cohort behavior, channel performance, subscription dynamics, and treatment funnel performance. ## Related Videos - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [JavaScript?
