In this role, you'll work across frontend product surfaces, backend systems, SDK and documentation pipelines, and API workflows that serve millions of developers and companies. You'll partner closely with product, design, research, API engineering, and developer-facing teams to make complex AI capabilities simple to understand, easy to test, and safe to launch in real-world applications. This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who cares deeply about craft, developer empathy, reliability, and product velocity. In this role, you will: * Build and scale developer-facing products including the OpenAI API Playground, documentation experiences, onboarding flows, examples, and API workflow tools. * Own full stack projects end to end, from product definition and UX collaboration through backend implementation, launch, measurement, and iteration. * Improve the systems that generate, maintain, and publish SDKs, API references, docs, guides, and developer examples. * Partner with API, research, design, and infrastructure teams to bring new model capabilities and API primitives to developers in a clear, usable way. * Use developer feedback, product analytics, and direct customer insight to identify friction and improve the API experience. * Help set technical and product direction for a new NYC-based team with broad ownership over OpenAI's developer experience. ## Related Videos - [Build and Deploy a Fullstack App with Open Source Tooling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/775-build-and-deploy-a-fullstack-app-with-open-source-tooling) - [Kubernetes and Microservices with Multi-Model Databases](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/382-kubernetes-and-microservices-with-multi-model-databases) - [Watch Tests Go Brrrr! : Getting Started with Cypress in ReactJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/282-watch-tests-go-brrrr-getting-started-with-cypress-in-reactjs) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Meet Your New BFF: Backend to Frontend without the Duct Tape](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/682-meet-your-new-bff-backend-to-frontend-without-the-duct-tape) - [Contract-First Frontend: Scaling Reliable UIs with OpenAPI and AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1995-contract-first-frontend-scaling-reliable-uis-with-openapi-and-ai) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [What’s the Difference Between Frontend and Backend Development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/240-what-s-the-difference-between-frontend-and-backend-development) - [The 7 Most Popular Backend Frameworks for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/403-the-7-most-popular-backend-frameworks-for-developers)
