Preferred Qualifications: * Comfort with reaching out directly to recognized authorities in the process of conducting research to assist reporters ## Description The New York Times is looking for an experienced fact checker responsible for ensuring NYT games and other related content is factually accurate and solvable. You will be responsible for fact checking and researching puzzles and related copy for digital and print publication for New York Times Games. In addition to ensuring assigned work is accurate, they are experienced enough in solving our puzzles that they can catch issues with the solution or other gameplay. Responsibilities may include reviewing notes from other fact checkers or testers, and working on existing New York Times puzzles or a new beta game. The fact checker will work on games cross-functionally with puzzle editors, writers, product designers, engineers, marketers and social media experts.
