## About the Role

* Develops software and firmware source code in C/C++, Embedded C, and other languages.
 * Designs, develops, documents, tests, debugs, and implements embedded software and systems.
 * Technical knowledge of common communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, USB, UART, and others.
 * Utilizes version control, simulation, debugging, and other development tools.
 * Strong problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent attention to detail.
 * Ability to read electronic schematics.
 * Positive, can-do attitude.
 * Great communication, teamwork and documentation skills.
 * Collaborates cross functionally with hardware engineers.
 * Provides engineering support for testing, deployment, and updates.

Additional preferred skills/experience:

 * Airborne software development experience using DO-178C.
 * Requirements capture using DOORS.
 * Experience developing support applications using C/C++, or C# .NET with Visual Studio.
 * Microsoft Excel development experience using VBA.
 * Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Minimum Qualifications:

 * BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Computer Science or BS in Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and work experience.
 * 5-7 years of Embedded Systems or Windows programming experience.
