This is a build role. We want someone who can take evolving silicon capabilities, incomplete requirements, and system-level constraints and turn them into robust, manufacturable hardware designs. You will play a critical role in defining how Mythic delivers usable hardware platforms to customers and partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and wants to work across silicon, integration, and manufacturing to build high-quality hardware systems. You should be equally comfortable designing boards, working with external vendors, and supporting bring-up and debug. What you'll own * Own design and development of reference boards and hardware platforms * Translate silicon capabilities into practical, high-quality system designs * Drive schematic design and guide PCB layout (internally or with external partners) * Own key hardware subsystems including power delivery, high-speed interfaces, and clocking * Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and overall system robustness * Define and incorporate package-level constraints into board design * Partner with OSATs and manufacturing vendors to ensure smooth package-to-board integration * Support board bring-up and collaborate on debugging system-level issues * Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and readiness for prototype and production builds * Work closely with integration, product, test, and packaging teams to ensure successful system deployment This role ensures Mythic's silicon can be transformed into robust, manufacturable, and deployable customer-ready hardware platforms. ## Related Videos - [More efficient software for more efficient microchips](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1164-more-efficient-software-for-more-efficient-microchips) - [Breaking the Hardware Mindset: Overcoming Barriers to System-Level Innovation](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1635-breaking-the-hardware-mindset-overcoming-barriers-to-system-level-innovation) - [The Billion Dollar Machine: First Time Right.](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/393-the-billion-dollar-machine-first-time-right) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Never delegate the understanding](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/749-never-delegate-the-understanding) - [Are design and development really just the same thing?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/520-are-design-and-development-really-just-the-same-thing) - [How software is steering vehicle technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/515-how-software-is-steering-vehicle-technology) - [What is Software Engineering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/289-what-is-software-engineering) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers)
