Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Application Engineer- Data Centers - **Company:** Skeleton Technologies - **Location:** Houston, TX, United States (Remote available) - **Experience:** Experienced - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Data Centers, Electrical CAD, MATLAB, Systems Architecture, Backup and Restore - **Published:** September 4, 2026 - **Apply:** https://startup.jobs/application-engineer-ai-data-centers-us-m-f-x-skeleton-technologies-6981488 ## About the Role * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related technical field. * 3+ years of experience as an application or field engineer in the data center or power infrastructure industry. * Strong knowledge of power backup systems, UPS, batteries, and/or ultracapacitors. * Familiarity with thermal management, grid-tied systems, and data center operational requirements. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to travel domestically (up to 25-40%) for customer meetings and site support. * Authorization to work in the U.S. Extra cookie points for additional qualifications: * Experience working with Tier 1 or hyperscale data center operators. * Knowledge of energy storage regulations and incentive programs in the U.S. * Hands-on experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS) or electrical CAD tools. * Experience with industrial or grid-connected systems, especially in backup power applications. ## Description to support our customers and partners across the United States. In this role, you will be the key technical liaison between our sales, product, and engineering teams and major data center customers. Your deep understanding of power infrastructure, energy storage technologies, and thermal management will help position Skeleton's Supercapacitor and SuperBattery solutions as performance-driven alternatives to conventional systems.
