You will design and build systems-level software that powers autonomous capabilities in challenging operational environments. You don't need to be a drone expert - but you should be a strong systems programmer who thrives in low-latency, high-reliability environments and is excited to apply those skills to a mission-critical product. The day-to-day * Designing, building, and maintaining Rust services across the Altra platform * Collaborating with ML engineers to integrate AI/ML pipelines into the broader system * Working across the stack, from networking and protocol implementation to application-level services * Contributing to increasingly advanced autonomy features * Developing and testing software using simulation environments * Writing software that must perform reliably on resource-constrained platforms under real-world constraints ## Related Videos - [Code to Road in < 12 hours](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1082-code-to-road-in-12-hours) - [Robots 2.0: When artificial intelligence meets steel](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1452-robots-2-0-when-artificial-intelligence-meets-steel) - [Swapping Low Latency Data Storage Under High Load](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/746-swapping-low-latency-data-storage-under-high-load) - [Data is Key: Scraping Metadata from Websites](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/708-data-is-key-scraping-metadata-from-websites) - [Rust in the Real World: Adoption, Migration, and Tradeoffs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100147-rust-in-the-real-world-adoption-migration-and-tradeoffs) - [Data: The Deciding Factor in AI Success](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100310-data-the-deciding-factor-in-ai-success) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Building AI Solutions with Rust and Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/494-building-ai-solutions-with-rust-and-docker) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 134 - Where pixels sing?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/477-dev-digest-134-where-pixels-sing)
