## About the Role

* BSEE with some related experience, or an ASEE with several years of EMC test experience, or significant EMC testing experience
 * Experience with test and measurement equipment, including EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power amplifiers, and power meters
 * Experience with IXIA traffic generators and wideband communication testers highly preferred
 * Knowledge of Cisco products or experience with networking equipment highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

 * Strong knowledge of EMC standards
 * Familiarity with Cisco products and tools

## Description

We are looking for a qualified EMC Test Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for testing, simulating, and validating the EMC performance of various Cisco hardware products., * Test, simulate, and validate EMC performance for various Cisco hardware products

 * Work with cross-functional teams to bring up and configure Cisco hardware
 * Collaborate with the EMC lab lead, project teams, and EMC design teams to plan prototype allocations, EMC test cases, and EMC testing dates
 * Configure Cisco hardware and software to exercise the equipment under test (EUT) for EMC compliance testing
 * Perform EMC compliance testing-independently or as part of a team-on networking equipment such as switches, routers, servers, access points, video equipment, IP telephones, and security devices
 * Write Test Assessment Plans (TAP), define EMC test cases, and generate EMC test reports using an in-house report-generation tool
 * Follow EMC test procedures in accordance with worldwide regulatory standards, including but not limited to:
 + EN/IEC 61000-4-x series
 + 47 CFR Part 15
 + ICES
