We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure/Platform Engineer focused on owning and scaling the foundation of our banking platform as we grow fast. You'll be responsible for keeping our systems reliable, secure, and fast - while building the tooling and infra that enables the rest of the team to move quickly without breaking things. That means scaling and working on everything on the cloud (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes). You'll define our infrastructure roadmap, own critical decisions around performance, observability, security, and deployment, and play a key role in enabling Slash to serve billions of dollars in business spend reliably and securely. What you'll do * Influence and implement the next generation of Slash's database, real-time workflow, and container orchestration infrastructure * Scale and evolve our Kubernetes (EKS) platform, CockroachDB clusters, Kafka (MSK), Temporal workflows, and ElastiCache Redis as we grow through hypergrowth * Work across engineering to introduce and scale best practices with cloud-native technologies like AWS ALB, WAF, Route 53, OpenSearch, S3, and Vercel * Build and maintain abstractions within Terraform and Pulumi to simplify architecture, increase velocity, and push ownership to product teams * Improve the speed and reliability of our CI/CD pipeline * Find solutions to Slash's toughest scaling, performance, and low-latency problems across a monolithic deployment serving burst financial traffic ## Related Videos - [Why segmenting your infrastructure into tiers makes your infrastructure design better](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1960-why-segmenting-your-infrastructure-into-tiers-makes-your-infrastructure-design-better) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Rate-limiting using eBPF and Istio: How to protect your SaaS customers from themselves](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100220-rate-limiting-using-ebpf-and-istio-how-to-protect-your-saas-customers-from-themselves) - [Reducing LLM Calls with Vector Search Patterns - Raphael De Lio (Redis)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1714-reducing-llm-calls-with-vector-search-patterns-raphael-de-lio-redis) - [Unleashing Potential Across Teams: The Power of Infrastructure as Code](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/930-unleashing-potential-across-teams-the-power-of-infrastructure-as-code) - [Inside Bitpanda's Tech Stack: Scaling a European Fintech Leader - Markus Dorner](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1979-inside-bitpanda-s-tech-stack-scaling-a-european-fintech-leader-markus-dorner) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [DevOps Engineer Salary [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/203-devops-engineer-salary-2023) - [Dev Digest 131 - AI'm not sure about OSS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/472-dev-digest-131-ai-m-not-sure-about-oss)
