## About the Role

Network Engineer Skills:

 * Network+ and/or CCNA level experiences with VLAN, STP, VTP, ARP, HSRP, TACACS, RADIUS, and basic layer-3 routing.
 * Familiar with Wireshark, and/or tcpdump for packet analysis.
 * Familiar with network monitoring and understanding of SNMPv3, MIBs and OIDs.
 * Basic understanding of layer-4 and firewall/NAT knowledge.

## Description

* Basic layer-2 troubleshooting and administration of IOS-XE (Cisco), NX-OS (Cisco), and EOS (Arista) switches.
 * Proactively monitor network devices via network monitoring tools, and Splunk syslog logging.
 * Operate and manage Opengear console server for in-band and out-of-band management.
 * Collaborate with other teams for network triage and escalation.
 * Setting up and burn-in of network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and out-of-band console server.
 * Perform inventory of physical and logical network devices, assist with quotes for hardware procurement.
