Ability to build and sustain close interpersonal relationships with members. * Fundraising experience strongly preferred, ideally with major donors. * Able to quickly learn relevant policy and political topics to engage members on these topics and raise funds for work in these areas. * A team player who works well with others and can manage multiple priorities, including urgent situations. Proven ability to own and oversee projects with numerous staff involved. * Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software as needed. Competency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite required. Experience with Salesforce or similar donor database preferred. Experience with DonorSearch or similar donor prospecting software is a plus. * Strong writing for advocacy, persuasion, and fundraising. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-office organization, in which change is not uncommon. ## Description The Development & Donor Organizing Manager will be an integral part of the Engagement & Growth team. This position will manage efforts to engage members in policy advocacy and political programming, and to raise funds from existing donor members and institutional funders, including personally soliciting contributions from a portfolio of existing major donors. This position is an exempt position. This position performs some similar responsibilities on behalf of a 501(c)(4) sister organization focused on building relationships with and electing progressive candidates, with a focus on those from underrepresented communities. The position title is officially "Engagement & Growth Manager." The title Development & Donor Organizing Manager" is used in this job posting for ease of understanding regarding the position's responsibilities. The position is ideally located in Washington, D.C. or another donor hub city. Other locations or arrangements may be possible. Currently, staff may choose to work remotely. WHAT YOU'LL DO: * Donor Member Activation on Policy and Political Programming: Motivate and facilitate donor members and peers to take action on important federal and state policy issues and political campaigns, and to participate in programming. * Donor Member Engagement: Establish and maintain personal relationships with donor members. Advance efforts to sustain and strengthen a sense of community and passion for V4P's mission among members. * Individual & Institutional Fundraising: Personally secure annual contributions from a portfolio of existing major donor members.
