## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
 * 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
 * Experience in aerospace systems and electrical/mechanical/software system development.
 * Proficiency with MBSE (Cameo or equivalent) and requirements tools such as DOORS.
 * Knowledge of ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and systems engineering processes.
 * MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape experience preferred.
 * Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical presentation skills.
 * Self-directed with ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

## Description

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a Direct Hire job with a client in Irvine CA 92606. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the system engineering development processes, such as ARP 4754 or IEEE 632 and Aerospace industry., * Develop and manage system requirements, interfaces, architecture, and traceability.

 * Plan and execute system verification, validation, testing, and qualification.
 * Perform trade studies, impact analysis, modeling, and failure analysis.
 * Review customer specifications and ensure regulatory and industry compliance.
 * Support new product development, design changes, certification, and Change Control Board (CCB) activities.
 * Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, program teams, and customers to resolve technical issues.
 * Support Design Reviews, Design for Manufacturability/Cost, and product lifecycle activities.
 * Identify failure modes and drive effective design improvements.
