## About the Role

* Junior level Linux experience is totally fine (school, labs, internships, or early career)
 * Comfortable with basic Linux commands, file systems, permissions, and processes
 * Junior networking exposure is a plus (TCP/IP basics, DNS, routing fundamentals)
 * Willingness to work onsite and rotate between four local locations
 * Open to working one of three shifts (flexibility is key here)
 * Strong attitude, curiosity, and reliability (we can teach skills, not work ethic)

Nice to Have

 * Exposure to data center environments
 * Familiarity with bash scripting
 * Experience with monitoring tools or ticketing systems

## Description

Our client is looking for a Data Center Engineer who wants real hands-on experience in a production environment, not just lab work and theory. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who's comfortable learning on the job, rotating across multiple sites, and working flexible shifts. What You'll Be Doing

 * Supporting Linux based systems in a data center or enterprise environment
 * Assisting with server builds, deployments, patching, and basic troubleshooting
 * Monitoring systems and responding to alerts and incidents
 * Performing basic networking tasks (connectivity checks, VLAN awareness, cabling coordination)
 * Working across four nearby locations in the Piscataway, NJ area
 * Collaborating with senior engineers and learning fast
