## About the Role

* 8+ years of experience in cloud, data, and solution architecture roles.
 * Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data architectures.
 * Proven experience building enterprise-scale data lakes and data warehouse environments on GCP.
 * BigQuery
 * Cloud Storage
 * Dataflow
 * Dataproc
 * Pub/Sub
 * Cloud Composer
 * IAM & Security Services
 * Experience leading AWS-to-GCP migration initiatives.
 * Strong knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, data modeling, and large-scale data migration strategies.
 * Experience evaluating existing architectures and recommending improvements based on best practices.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
 * Experience migrating Snowflake data platforms and workloads.
 * Multi-cloud experience supporting both AWS and GCP environments.
 * Google Professional Cloud Architect and/or Professional Data Engineer certification.
 * Experience working in environments where cloud platforms are being adopted for the first time.
 * Background in cloud governance, security, and data platform modernization initiatives.

## Description

The client is seeking a highly experienced GCP Cloud/Data Architect to provide technical leadership, validate architecture designs, and guide the overall migration strategy. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on architect with deep expertise in GCP data services, cloud migrations, and enterprise-scale data platform modernization., * Evaluate and validate the client's cloud and data architecture strategy for GCP.

 * Design and implement scalable data lake and data warehouse solutions within GCP.
 * Lead the migration of data platforms and analytical workloads from AWS to GCP.
 * Develop strategies for decommissioning Snowflake on AWS and transitioning to a GCP-based data ecosystem.
 * Architect data ingestion, integration, ETL/ELT, and analytics solutions across multiple source systems.
 * Establish cloud architecture standards, governance, security controls, and best practices.
 * Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define roadmap, priorities, and migration strategies.
 * Identify performance, scalability, and cost optimization opportunities.
 * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams with limited GCP experience.
 * Serve as the primary GCP subject matter expert driving the initiative from planning through execution.
