## About the Role

* Strong knowledge of the Rust language, with proven previous development experience
 * Demonstrated history working on high-performance production systems, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming, networking, and computer architecture
 * Familiarity with the Ethereum Virtual Machine
 * Experience designing and building critical systems from the ground up
 * Ability to contribute effectively in an asynchronous work environment, both as part of a team and independently
 * Track record in leading technical teams and in management of complex software projects
 * A strong passion for writing elegant and efficient code

Nice to Haves

 * Previous experience in high-frequency trading or MEV
 * Significant contributions to open source projects
 * Working knowledge of the Ethereum ecosystem and MEV supply chain
 * Experience working with Ethereum execution clients, particularly Reth
 * Experience working with EVM-related libraries such as Alloy
 * Experience designing and implementing consensus-based systems
 * Background in mathematics

## Description

* Collaborate with our protocol engineers on the research, development, and implementation of Angstrom, our Rust-based execution engine and underlying consensus
 * Play a key role in the development of our other rust-based, Angstrom-related extensions, such as backend data-indexing, vault infrastructure, and more
 * Architect and implement core and peripheral mechanisms for Angstrom
 * Work closely with a small team of talented developers, ensuring efficient project progress across the backend stack
 * Create and manage comprehensive technical documentation and diagrams for public use
 * Constantly be curious and evaluate how to improve the current protocol and code implementation
