Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Security Solutions Engineer - **Company:** Fastly, Inc. - **Location:** Denver, CO, United States (Remote available) - **Experience:** Expert - **Salary:** $123,330.0 - $147,996.0 - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** JavaScript (Programming Language), Amazon Web Services, Cloud Computing, Internet Protocol, CURL, Open Web Application Security, Performance Tuning, Cloud Services, Web Application Security, Diagnostic Tools, Google Cloud, Software Application Programming, Rate Limiting, Ddos - **Published:** September 4, 2026 - **Apply:** https://startup.jobs/senior-solutions-engineer-fastly-9768399 ## About the Role * At least 4+ years of total experience in Solutions, Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role. * Experience creating and delivering advanced web and security solutions for enterprise customers (3+ years preferred). * Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of web application security concepts (e.g., OWASP Top 10, DDoS, and rate limiting etc) * Deep understanding of common internet protocols, particularly HTTP & TLS, and related troubleshooting tools and techniques (e.g., curl, dig, tcpdump). * Experience with project management, including analyzing a project's requirements, designing and documenting a solution, and delivering that to successful completion We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: * Experience in developing applications in Rust, Go, or Javascript * Industry-recognized security or cloud service/edge compute provider certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, AWS, GCP). * Experience writing/decoding security exploits and vulnerabilities. * Bilingual in English and Spanish, written and verbally. ## Description The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for helping customers achieve effective security policy outcomes using Fastly's suite of security offerings. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge of Fastly's security products, particularly the Fastly Next-Gen WAF, as well as expertise in web application security best practices and trends. They collaborate with customers to understand their security requirements and work with them to architect, implement, and maintain secure and performant solutions to meet their security challenges. The candidate will be central to the customer journey, from initial deployment and on-boarding to ongoing customization, ensuring a secure and reliable experience. What You'll Do: * Onboarding new customers to Fastly, specialized in Fastly Security Products. * Deeply understand customer security requirements, and architect, implement, and maintain a secure and performant Next-Gen WAF solutions across various deployment models (Edge WAF, Cloud WAF, On-Prem WAF). * Provide existing customers guidance on additional features, health checks, and performance tuning. * Write and present training materials to customers and internal teams * Assist with pre-sales activities, including Proof-of-Concept work and architectural guidance for our pre-sales teams., * This position will require you to work during scheduled hours from 9am to 6pm MST or CST * This position will require you to be available during core business hours. * It may also require occasional nights and weekends as necessary to support any on-call coverage. ## Related Videos - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - Chrome for Sale?
