## About the Role

This role is ideal for an engineer with 5+ years' experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment, who understands both the technical and practical aspects of designing products for efficient production and performance., * Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

 * Minimum 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role.
\n

 * Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D CAD.
\n

 * Experience designing components or products for manufacture within a precision engineering or tooling environment.
\n

 * Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining methods, materials, and Design for Manufacture (DfM).
\n

 * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
\n, * Experience within the cutting tool, tooling, precision machining, or metalworking industries.
\n

 * Knowledge of CNC machining, tool geometry, and product validation.
\n

 * Familiarity with FEA and engineering calculations.
