As a member of the Project and Change Management Office (PCMO), this role integrates project management and organizational change management to help organizations successfully plan, implement, and adopt technology and business change. Working across people, process, and technology, the IT Project and Change Manager partners with business and technology leaders to align stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, manage organizational change, and deliver sustainable outcomes that support the CSU mission. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Director of Project and Change Management Office, the IT Project and Change Manager will perform duties as outlined below: 1. Project Leadership -Lead enterprise technology projects and strategic initiatives from initiation through implementation, transition, and successful adoption. -Develop practical project strategies, governance structures, schedules, resource plans, and risk management approaches that support successful delivery. -Monitor project performance, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate decision making, and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership. -Facilitate project closeout activities, including lessons learned and continuous improvement recommendations. 2. Organizational Change Management -Lead integrated change management strategies that build organizational readiness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support successful adoption. -Assess organizational impacts, stakeholder needs, and readiness to inform change approaches. -Lead communication, engagement, training, and adoption activities throughout the project lifecycle. -Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies to improve outcomes. 3. Stakeholder Engagement -Build trusted partnerships across the Chancellor's Office, campuses, and technology teams. -Facilitate discussions that build consensus, navigate competing priorities, and enable informed decisions. -Translate complex technical information into clear, actionable communications for diverse audiences. -Foster collaboration through effective facilitation, transparency, and relationship building. 4. PCMO Leadership -Contribute to the continuous improvement of PCMO standards, methodologies, templates, and governance practices. -Advance project and change management capability across the CSU by supporting Communities of Practice, professional development, and shared methodologies. -Maintain accurate project documentation and portfolio information in accordance with PCMO standards. 5.
