This role sits at the intersection of full-stack software development, AI-assisted security workflows, and security program execution-building tooling used by internal security teams to surface vulnerabilities, validate controls, and drive compliance at scale. The position requires both hands-on technical execution and strong cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will contribute to backend services, agentic AI pipelines, data ingestion workflows, and analyst-facing dashboards, while working closely with AppSec, GRC, and engineering stakeholders to translate security program requirements into working software. Team Lead candidates will additionally be responsible for guiding a small team of analysts and engineers through delivery. Essential Functions: * Contribute to the development of internal security platforms spanning backend services, REST APIs, and web-based analyst dashboards used by Cybersecurity and GRC teams. * Build and maintain agentic AI pipelines that use LLMs, RAG architectures, and MCP-based tooling to automate security analysis, control validation, and evidence collection workflows. * Develop and maintain document ingestion and data processing pipelines that ingest structured and unstructured security artifacts (policies, audit evidence, scan outputs) into internal platforms. * Design and implement analyst-facing reporting and triage interfaces that surface security findings, compliance posture, and risk indicators to internal stakeholders. * Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) tooling and automation to reduce manual effort in security operations, findings review, and compliance reporting workflows. * Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows (Python, Go, or TypeScript) to streamline data collection, validation, and platform operations. * Collaborate with AppSec, GRC, and M&A Integration teams to understand program requirements and translate them into platform features and data models. * Evolve backend data schemas and storage models to support new analytical capabilities as platform scope and data volumes grow. * Track and report on platform health, adoption metrics, and delivery KPIs for internal stakeholders and engineering leadership. * Ensure platform development adheres to Visa's secure development standards, data handling policies, and applicable regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, NIST, ISO 27001). * Drive technical direction for a small team, run sprint ceremonies, conduct code reviews, and serve as the primary engineering point of contact for internal security stakeholders. ## Related Videos - [Improving quality with Agentic AI with Rovo Dev and Xray](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2005-improving-quality-with-agentic-ai-with-rovo-dev-and-xray) - [Reducing LLM Calls with Vector Search Patterns - Raphael De Lio (Redis)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1714-reducing-llm-calls-with-vector-search-patterns-raphael-de-lio-redis) - [Go with the Flow: Stop the Leaks Before Your Memory's a Waterfall!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100073-go-with-the-flow-stop-the-leaks-before-your-memory-s-a-waterfall) - [Security Pitfalls for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/726-security-pitfalls-for-software-engineers) - [Collaboration Quantified: Lessons from Open Source Developer Networks](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1422-collaboration-quantified-lessons-from-open-source-developer-networks) - [Automated Security for the Entire SDLC](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100323-automated-security-for-the-entire-sdlc) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [9 Ways to Make Money Hacking](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/333-9-ways-to-make-money-hacking) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Security Basics for Vibe Coders](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/598-security-basics-for-vibe-coders) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated)
