This is a software engineering role with an infrastructure center of gravity: you will build services orchestrating compute and exposing capabilities to users as part of a coherent platform., You will work on problems that do not have a settled answer yet, in a product that is growing quickly in both scale and number of users. We expect you to work end-to-end: design, implement, ship, operate, and then talk to the people using it. Senior engineers on this team lead projects, mentor other engineers, and are trusted to make and defend architectural decisions . WHAT YOU'LL DO * Design and build the backend services that provision, orchestrate, and tear down distributed test and simulation environments on Kubernetes * Own significant subsystems of the platform end-to-end - from design through rollout, operation, and iteration with users * Scale the platform's compute layer as demand grows, including capacity management, performance, and efficient use of expensive resources * Improve the interfaces and abstractions through which users describe their environments, so they can express complex test topologies without needing to be Kubernetes experts * Build for the range of environments we deploy into, including cloud and on-premise, along with the release and configuration tooling that makes those deployments repeatable * Improve reliability and performance of a system whose workloads are heavy and short-lived, including instrumentation, monitoring, and root cause analysis when something breaks * Raise the engineering bar through design and code review, technical mentorship, and clear technical writing * Work directly with internal engineering teams, business lines, and external customers to understand where the platform falls short, and turn that into shipped improvements, To ensure your safety and help you navigate your job search with confidence, please keep the following critical points in mind: * No Financial Requests: Anduril will never solicit payment or demand personal financial details (such as banking information, credit card numbers, or social security numbers) at any stage of our hiring process. Our legitimate recruitment is entirely free for candidates. ## Related Videos - [Docker network without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1418-docker-network-without-docker) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Infrastructure as Code: The Developer's Secret Weapon](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1221-infrastructure-as-code-the-developer-s-secret-weapon) - [Remote Driving on Plant Grounds with State-of-the-Art Cloud Technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/251-remote-driving-on-plant-grounds-with-state-of-the-art-cloud-technologies) - [Docker exec without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1094-docker-exec-without-docker) - [Answering the Million Dollar Question: Why did I Break Production?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1171-answering-the-million-dollar-question-why-did-i-break-production) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [Résumé-Driven Development: How IT trends affect the job market for software developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/59-resume-driven-development-how-it-trends-affect-the-job-market-for-software-developers)
