You will work across the seam where four mature products meet one shared discovery layer: designing the contracts between them, packaging their capabilities so they can be composed, and making search and curation work as one experience rather than four. You will be making it fast and intuitive for admins to govern and curate, for teachers to find and instruct, and for students to explore and grow their respective libraries., **In this role, as a Senior Software Engineer you will: ** * Design and own the contracts between the Libraries and the four products - OpenAPI interfaces, typed message schemas, and the versioning discipline that keeps breaking changes from becoming someone else's outage. * Build the discovery layer - search, relevance, and retrieval across a large and heterogeneous content library. * Create and maintain continuous delivery pipelines for code, infrastructure, configuration, and data. * Evolve the engineering culture, standards, and best practices - security, governance, new ideas - within the team, and help us decide the stack questions that are still open. ## Related Videos - [Build and Deploy a Fullstack App with Open Source Tooling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/775-build-and-deploy-a-fullstack-app-with-open-source-tooling) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Infrastructure as Code: The Developer's Secret Weapon](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1221-infrastructure-as-code-the-developer-s-secret-weapon) - [Do TypeScript without TypeScript](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/327-do-typescript-without-typescript) - [Meet Your New BFF: Backend to Frontend without the Duct Tape](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/682-meet-your-new-bff-backend-to-frontend-without-the-duct-tape) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) ## Related Articles - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Find a Developer Job: 12 Best Job Sites For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/165-find-a-developer-job-12-best-job-sites-for-developers) - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [How Much Does a Software Engineer Make?
