* Skills are typically acquired through an A+ certification or equivalent.
 * 4 years of experience in a PC related field which includes experience in software and hardware configuration.
 * A+ / A+ Networking certifications are useful but not required.
 * Strong expertise in desktop operating systems and MS Office productivity support.
 * Experience with networking support and light server administration.
 * Capable of managing inventory and handling hardware/software requisitions.
 * Proven history of providing desktop support in a fast-paced environment.

## Description

The Senior IT Desktop Technician under direct supervision, performs configuration, installation and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures., * Consults with the end user to define data migration requirements and perform the data migration, if required.

 * Provide training and general guidance to other members of the team.
 * Coordinate with the desktop architecture team when bringing in new desktop images or when adjusting procedures.
 * Adheres to and enforces facility security measures, company safety standards and software licensing procedures.
 * Coordinate special requests for distribution to technician I and technician II staff.
 * Monitors for trouble tickets and coordinates with appropriate vendors for equipment repair as needed.
 * Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.
 * Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
 * Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.
