## About the Role

* Active secret clearance (or higher)
 * Active IAT II certification (Security+) or higher
 * Active Duty Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridge
 * Within 180 days of separation or retirement
 * Command approval for participation

## Description

Participants may rotate through or specialize in one or more of the following IT areas:
Help Desk / IT Support

 * Provide Tier 1-2 technical support to end users
 * Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
 * Document incidents using ticketing systems
 * Support user account management and system access

Systems Administration

 * Assist with administration of Windows/Linux environments
 * Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies (e.g., Active Directory)
 * Perform system maintenance, patching, and monitoring
 * Support virtualization and cloud-based environments

Network Engineering

 * Assist with configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure
 * Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
 * Work with routers, switches, firewalls, and secure communications
 * Support implementation of cybersecurity best practices

Software Development

 * Participate in software design, development, and testing
 * Work with modern programming languages and frameworks
 * Support DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
 * Contribute to automation and scripting efforts

Cybersecurity / Information Assurance

 * Assist with vulnerability assessments and system hardening
 * Support compliance with DoD security standards
 * Monitor systems for security incidents and anomalies, * Gain hands-on experience in a production IT environment supporting federal missions
 * Apply technical skills to real-world projects and operational tasks
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior technical staff
 * Participate in training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing sessions
 * Develop professional skills for transition into civilian IT careers
