As a Senior Enterprise Performance Management Systems Engineer, you will help ensure today's operations remain secure while enabling a smarter tomorrow. We are seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Performance Engineer and NetScout Administrator to support the ETM-NG program at the Pentagon. This position is responsible for administering, expanding, optimizing, and operating the NetScout performance monitoring platform across multiple security domains.The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to operations teams and government stakeholders by converting network performance data into actionable insights. Key responsibilities include dashboard development, service performance monitoring, KPI definition, executive reporting, troubleshooting complex performance issues, and supporting the continued deployment of enterprise observability capabilities.This role requires close collaboration with Network Operations, Service Management, Cybersecurity, and Government leadership to enhance visibility into network health, application performance, user experience, and mission-critical services. Strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical audiences are essential.HOW AN EMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT * Administer, maintain, and optimize NetScout nGeniusONE, nGeniusPULSE, InfiniStream, and associated performance monitoring infrastructure. * Provide day-to-day administration of Red Hat-based Linux distributions (CentOS, RHEL, Oracle Linux). Troubleshoot system-level issues, analyze OS logs, and monitor disk space, CPU, and memory utilization. * Utilize Bash/Shell scripting to automate routine administrative tasks and system backups. * Plan and execute server migrations and operating system upgrades.
