Preferred: CCNA certification or equivalent experience; additional Cisco, Microsoft, cloud, firewall, virtualization, storage, or cybersecurity certifications; experience with multiple enterprise firewall platforms; and local government IT experience. Knowledge of: - INTRA platforms, technologies, configurations, and integrations. - Cisco enterprise networking, including routers, switches, wireless systems, Cisco IOS, LAN/WAN/VLAN environments, routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation. - Enterprise firewall platforms and security protocols, including ACLs, NAT/PAT, VPNs, intrusion prevention, logging, packet inspection, and traffic analysis. - Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, enterprise data storage, backups, recovery, and related applications. - Hyper-V and VMware virtualization technologies and environments. - Microsoft cloud technologies, including Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure. - Cybersecurity, system hardening, vulnerability and patch management, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity. - Technical documentation, troubleshooting practices, project management, and current technology industry standards. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in an office, server-room, data-center, and technology-equipment environment. Duties may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, reaching, climbing, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and performing repetitive motions. The position must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to waist height when installing, replacing, or relocating network, server, storage, and related technology equipment. The position enters, exits, and operates City vehicles and may travel between City facilities.
