## About the Role

* Computer Science majors OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications .
 * Experience as a Data Center Technician , with hardware break-fix responsibilities .
 * Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles .
 * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
 * Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components .
 * 1+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
 * Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
 * Flexibility to work non-standard business hours , including weekends and/or holidays.

## Description

* Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment , following specific instructions and safety protocols.
 * Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
 * Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues , quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.
 * Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds .
 * Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively.
