DoDD 8140 compliant certification meeting IAT Level II requirements or higher. -Active CISSP certification. -Vulnerability assessment and remediation experience DoD environment experience ## Description Insight Global is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a leading defense contractor focused on national security and Department of Defense initiatives. This individual will serve as a key cybersecurity subject matter expert responsible for supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts, Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities, and information assurance engineering throughout the system lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing cybersecurity requirements within DoD environments, developing security documentation, supporting system accreditation efforts, and collaborating with engineering and program teams to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead coordination and maintenance of Assessment & Authorization (A&A) documentation and activities. Support the design, development, implementation, and integration of secure system architectures. Serve as the program office cybersecurity subject matter expert for Information Assurance (IA) and security compliance requirements. Develop, review, and maintain RMF artifacts, security controls, and authorization package documentation. Identify, assess, and track vulnerabilities through remediation efforts and POA&M management. Support technical reviews, security audits, inspections, and compliance assessments. Partner with engineering teams to implement security controls across hardware, software, operating systems, and applications. Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability analyses. Provide guidance on DoD and federal cybersecurity policies, RMF implementation, and accreditation strategies.
