## About the Role

* A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology and Biochemistry, or related discipline or equivalent mix of education and experience.
 * 0-2 years experience.
 * Understanding of technical concepts and/or Medical Terminology
 * 25% travel may be required.
 * Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
 * Strong reading comprehension skills.
 * Strong written communication skills.
 * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
 * Ability to work on a computer workstation 8 hours per day.
 * Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

## Description

* Provides expert guidance and advice on both the patent classification process and USPTO procedures. Additional daily duties will include, but are not limited to assigning work/rework, reviewing work, providing expert advice and feedback, providing on-the-job training, providing analysis of USPTO feedback
 * Develops responses to USPTO quality feedback, providing expert technical counseling, monitoring team morale and conducting and/or assisting in special projects where necessary.
 * Must be able to thoroughly understand and explain the patent classification/examination process, conduct research and written responses related to a broad range of technical issues.
 * Works proactively to identify, report, and monitor trends and recommends new approaches to improve quality, process and cost inefficiencies.
 * Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
 * A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
 * Ability to work autonomously and under minimal supervision.
