## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n
 * 2-4 years of experience in SQL Server database administration, database support, or a related role.\n
 * Strong experience supporting production SQL Server environments, including monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, security, backup/recovery, and high availability.\n
 * Advanced T-SQL skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n
 * Experience supporting production incidents and participating in an on-call support environment.\n
 * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n
 * Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.\n
 * Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL and other Azure data services preferred.\n
 * Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and cloud data platforms preferred.\n
 * Knowledge of data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes preferred.\n
 * Experience with PowerShell or other automation and scripting tools preferred.\n
 * Familiarity with CI/CD processes, source control, monitoring tools, and Power BI is a plus.\n
 * A continuous improvement mindset and passion for modern data technologies.\n

## Description

* Support and maintain SQL Server production, QA, and development environments to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.\n
 * Monitor database health, capacity, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.\n
 * Troubleshoot database and application-related incidents and participate in on-call support as needed.\n
 * Perform query tuning, performance optimization, indexing reviews, and execution plan analysis.\n
 * Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.\n
 * Administer database security, permissions, and access controls.\n
 * Support database upgrades, patching, migrations, and environment refresh activities.\n
 * Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders on database design and data requirements.\n
 * Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational standards.\n
 * Support Microsoft Azure SQL, Azure data services, and cloud-based database initiatives.\n
 * Assist with Microsoft Fabric implementation, administration, and platform optimization.\n
 * Support Azure Data Factory pipelines and data integration processes.\n
 * Contribute to data engineering, ETL/ELT, and data modernization initiatives.\n
 * Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and other scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.\n
 * Participate in CI/CD, source control, monitoring, and deployment activities for database and data platform solutions.\n
 * Drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance reliability, scalability, and overall platform performance.\n
