An in-house auto-dev bot already lands reviewed PRs daily - most merged client PRs start from an agent. Engineers here don't just write features: they design the architecture, conventions, and guardrails that let humans and AI build together safely, across our flagship app and a matrix of new products (Lite, short-drama, local). This is a builder role with a dual mandate: roughly half your time advances the platform, half ships business impact - and the point is that the first keeps shrinking the cost of the second. What you'll do * Architect Android systems - from our flagship app to 0-to-1 new products - so every codebase stays legible to both engineers and AI agents. * Drive modularization: extract shared capabilities so they ship once and run across apps. * Ship user-facing features end-to-end - growth, feed, and new-app product needs - through the same AI-assisted workflow you're improving: your platform work is measured by how much faster these ship. * Set the quality bar for AI-assisted development: review standards, safety nets, release gates. * Solve the hardest performance and production problems, and turn what you learn into playbooks the whole team builds on. ## Related Videos - [Pair Programming with Generative Agents: Refactoring Legacy Android at Speed](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100224-pair-programming-with-generative-agents-refactoring-legacy-android-at-speed) - [Migration to declarative UI in Android development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/765-migration-to-declarative-ui-in-android-development) - [Kotlin Multiplatform - True power of native code reuse](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/4-kotlin-multiplatform-true-power-of-native-code-reuse) - [Edit Your Future: Queerverse Radical AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/909-edit-your-future-queerverse-radical-ai) - [Android beyond mobile: Cars, TVs, and Wearables](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/553-android-beyond-mobile-cars-tvs-and-wearables) - [For the Cars and the Curious: Android Drift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/499-for-the-cars-and-the-curious-android-drift) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer) - [What is Software Engineering in the Age of AI?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/640-what-is-software-engineering-in-the-age-of-ai) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift)
