This team is responsible for scalable CI and build infrastructure and deployment orchestration, where a single improvement compounds across thousands of engineers. You'll set technical direction for the group's most complex, cross-cutting problems and lead their delivery from ambiguous problem statements through production operation. What you'll do: * Own core developer infrastructure platforms, including CI/build systems and deployment orchestration, across the full lifecycle from design through production operation. * Identify the group's highest-leverage problems, turn ambiguous and unscoped challenges into concrete technical roadmaps, and drive alignment across dependent teams. * Drive step-change improvements to the metrics every engineer feels: build and CI wall time, deploy speed and safety, and developer feedback latency. * Lead strategic, cross-cutting initiatives end to end, including large-scale platform migrations, landing them across many teams alongside the engineers doing the work. * Raise the reliability bar for developer infrastructure by owning SLOs, observability, and on-call, designing systems that recover fast rather than cascade into company-wide incidents. * Partner with engineering customers, EMs, and leadership across Coinbase to shape technical strategy and drive org-wide adoption of what you build, while mentoring engineers through design review, pairing, and shared ownership. ## Related Videos - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Modern Data Architectures need Software Engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1030-modern-data-architectures-need-software-engineering) - [Best Practices for AI-Assisted Development of Distributed Systems](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100200-best-practices-for-ai-assisted-development-of-distributed-systems) - [Throwing off the burdens of scale in engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/608-throwing-off-the-burdens-of-scale-in-engineering) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [Navigating Growth, Scaling Challenges, and Office Expansions with David Singleton, CTO at Stripe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100362-navigating-growth-scaling-challenges-and-office-expansions-with-david-singleton-cto-at-stripe) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers) - [What is Software Engineering in the Age of AI?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/640-what-is-software-engineering-in-the-age-of-ai) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How we Build The Software of Tomorrow](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/120-how-we-build-the-software-of-tomorrow) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers)
