NPES testing includes scenario database preparation, creation and documentation of test plans and procedures, user story traceability, test tool recommendations, test jigs, data, etc * Provide the Government with an analysis of the operational impact of the system and software engineering proposed changes to NPES and NPES-related systems Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience * 3 years supporting the DoD * Demonstrated experience supporting USSTRATCOM weapon systems and/or capabilities ## Description Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Software Engineer in support of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Combatant Command, Command and Control (C2) Division (AFNWC/NCC). This is a full-time position located at Offutt AFB, NE Responsibilities: * Review, prepare, and analyze a variety of documentation: Planning, requirements, design, support, and test. Also, to include source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support. * Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. * Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. * Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures. * Deliver Subject Matter Expertise on the nuclear command and control planning process, instructing and evaluating USSTRATCOM directorates. * Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues * Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications. * Work as a member of an agile software development team.
