You've owned the systems that let product teams ship with confidence, you think in tradeoffs, and you care deeply about how a team builds, not just what ships. We're building industry-defining accounting and finance software. Our platform needs to scale with us, and we want an engineer who brings a point of view to that work. Our Tech Stack: Svelte 5/TypeScript frontend, Kotlin + Spring Boot backend, PostgreSQL, AWS. We're AI-native - meaning thoughtful application, not outsourced thinking. Our engineers still reason from first principles; AI helps with execution. We're looking for teammates who are based near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating. Our hybrid schedule brings the team together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day each week. Some roles may spend more time in the office depending on the needs of the team. What You'll Do * Own the infrastructure, CI/CD, and developer tooling that keeps our engineering team shipping fast and safely at scale * Set the technical direction for reliability, security, and compliance - building these in from the ground up rather than bolting them on later * Shape the design and scalability of our external API, turning it into a competitive asset for customers and partners * Partner with engineering leadership to define roadmap priorities and translate ambiguous problems into clear technical plans * Raise the bar for engineering quality through design reviews, mentorship, and hands-on collaboration ## Related Videos - [Kotlin Multiplatform - True power of native code reuse](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/4-kotlin-multiplatform-true-power-of-native-code-reuse) - [Svelte ♥ TypeScript and so will you](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/493-svelte-typescript-and-so-will-you) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Throwing off the burdens of scale in engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/608-throwing-off-the-burdens-of-scale-in-engineering) - [Why Kotlin is the better Java and how you can start using it](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/661-why-kotlin-is-the-better-java-and-how-you-can-start-using-it) - [Build and Deploy a Fullstack App with Open Source Tooling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/775-build-and-deploy-a-fullstack-app-with-open-source-tooling) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [What is Software Engineering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/289-what-is-software-engineering) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [How Much Does a Software Engineer Make?
