## Description

This position is for a Programmer 6 supporting the Michigan Department of Transportation's (MDOT) Project Development and Maintenance programs. The role involves full-stack Java and React development within an agile environment, collaborating closely with project managers, application owners, and UI/UX teams to build and maintain complex, responsive software systems. The developer will work on-site two days a week as part of a hybrid schedule and must be available for in-person interviews and immediate onsite work from day one. Responsibilities:

 * Develop, test, and deploy code in a complex Java and React environment.
 * Participate in agile development processes and team activities.
 * Work closely with UI/UX teams to create modern, responsive user interfaces using React.
 * Maintain and enhance existing applications within the MDOT Project Development and Maintenance programs.
 * Communicate effectively within the team and demonstrate self-direction and commitment to project goals.
