You have hands-on experience with a modern MDM such as Intune, have administered Google Workspace and an identity provider such as Okta, and have solid networking fundamentals across WiFi, VLANs and firewalls. You are comfortable with endpoint protection tooling such as SentinelOne. * Automation is instinctive to you. You recognize where a script or workflow will save time and deliver it, whether written by hand in Bash, Python or PowerShell or built with AI tools. What matters is the result. * We also value a genuine interest in the craft. Many of our strongest engineers are the sort of people who run a home lab or NAS, experiment with home automation, and care about the details others overlook. Clear, patient communication with non-technical colleagues and a thorough approach to documentation complete the picture. * Experience with ISO 27001, Ubiquiti or Meraki equipment, or meeting room AV is welcome but not essential. * You are comfortable with the on-site nature of the role. ## Description Road is looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to own the systems and infrastructure our teams depend on. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on technical ownership rather than people management, working closely with the CTO to shape how IT operates as the company grows. Our environment is modern, cloud-first and AI-native: Google Workspace, Okta, Intune and SentinelOne across a mixed Mac and Windows fleet. These are our current tools rather than fixed commitments; we choose the right solution for the problem and change course when a better one emerges. We look for the same pragmatism in the people we hire. Your Responsibilities Include: * Provide first-line technical support to employees, resolving issues across hardware, software, and collaboration tools efficiently and with a good user experience in mind. * Own and execute onboarding and offboarding processes, including access provisioning and deprovisioning via Okta and Google Workspace, while maintaining and extending automated workflows using AI tooling to streamline these and other recurring processes. * You will own our workplace platform, keeping it reliable, secure, organised, and cost controlled while extending it as our needs grow. This covers device management through Intune, hardware stock and lifecycle, and administration of Google Workspace and Okta. * On security, you will keep our endpoints and network protected, maintain day-to-day security hygiene, and support our ISO 27001 work from the IT side. This is a practical, operational responsibility rather than a governance one. * You will also look after the office itself: network and WiFi, meeting room AV, cabling and inventory. You will manage the relationship with our broadband supplier and act as a responsive point of support for colleagues across the business. ## Related Videos - [Unlocking the potential of Digital & IT at Vodafone](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/602-unlocking-the-potential-of-digital-it-at-vodafone) - [Old tools, new tricks](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1916-old-tools-new-tricks) - [Your next 10x engineer isn't in your city.
