Good communication skills and the ability to report status to stakeholders. ## Description Job Summary: Why the role exists To define, build and implement DevOps practise within the IT Technology team. Working alongside development and IT Technical teams will lead and support the transition of on-premise software services to public cloud (Microsoft Azure) and adoption of platform-as-a-service (PaaS) components, such as DynaTrace and ServiceNow. To work with third party service integrators to ensure ongoing monitoring, maintenance and fitness-for-purpose of public cloud subscriptions and tenants and retrospectively champion the adoption of cloud-based monitoring platforms., The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the definition, implementation and ongoing management of all public cloud services. Working with other IT professionals, will shape the future technology deployment of IT services to make use of Microsoft Azure alongside the current on-premise services., 1. Defining a cloud migration strategy and best practise 2. Working alongside development and engineering teams identify candidate to migration from private to public cloud 3. Create and maintain automation routines, automated remediation and incident response. 4. Define Continuous Integration pipelines 5. Work alongside development teams to deliver cloud solutions 6. Manage and maintain ongoing deployment of services to consume public cloud environments.
