## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience as a Data Architect/Data Solutions Architect.
 * Deep Snowflake experience is essential - this is the key technology within the role.
 * Strong understanding of modern data architecture, data modelling and cloud data platforms.
 * Experience with Data Products, Data Governance and modern data engineering practices.
 * Experience working within a transformation programme and ideally taking an organisation from a relatively immature data environment to a modern data capability.
 * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - you'll need to be comfortable working with both technical and business audiences.
 * Financial Services or Insurance experience would be highly desirable, particularly experience working in a regulated environment.

## Description

We're looking for a Data Architect with strong Snowflake experience to play a key role in shaping the future Data Strategy, Data Products and AI capabilities. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join at the start of a major transformation programme, with significant exposure to modern technology and the ability to make a real impact.

you'll be doing

 * Own and shape the Data Architecture and Data Strategy, helping define how data is used across the organisation.
 * Design and evolve a modern Snowflake-based data platform, working across Data Products, data modelling, governance and integration.
 * Work closely with Data Engineering, Data Governance, Product Owners and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into scalable data solutions.
 * Horizon-scan emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage AI, Snowflake Cortex and modern data capabilities.
 * Establish architecture standards, patterns and principles while helping build the Data capability from the ground up.
