Our team of over 850 experts from 69 countries works tirelessly to transform intricate data into actionable strategies, ensuring our clients stay ahead in a dynamic market landscape. Join us to leverage cutting-edge innovation for impactful results and experience unparalleled support on your journey to success. As a Senior Mobile Engineer in the Mobile Experience crew (Application Platform tribe), you will deliver high-performance, critical features for the MarineTraffic and Kpler mobile apps - B2C products serving millions of users - using Flutter, Dart and Mapbox. You will also help design and evolve our mobile Backend-for-Frontend (Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL/PostGIS): a production-critical service designed to scale and sustain the full load of the mobile applications. You will join a squad at the forefront of AI-assisted engineering, where 100% of deployed code is authored by AI under your orchestration - a modern environment for engineers who want to redefine software delivery through advanced AI tooling. The squad is close-knit and multidisciplinary: 2 Senior Engineers, 1 Mid-level Engineer, 1 EM, 1 PM, 1 Designer. Key Responsbilities * Develop complex, production-ready features for the MarineTraffic and Kpler apps, upholding Clean Architecture standards and translating platform conventions (Apple HIG, Material) into polished, native-feeling, accessible experiences. * Design and evolve the mobile BFF (Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL/PostGIS) as a primary, scalable component serving all mobile needs. * Act as a quality guardian: code reviews, automated test suites (unit, integration, contract), observability, and continuously improved CI/CD and engineering practices. * Contribute to product and UX decisions alongside the PM and Designer - owning outcomes, not just code. * Maintain and optimise the AI/LLM tooling stack (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) so agents write code autonomously to the team's standards. * Mentor peers, contribute to the Front-end Chapter, and support business teams' autonomy over their functional scopes as part of the crew's platformisation strategy. ## Related Videos - [Intro to Flutter Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/170-intro-to-flutter-development) - [Flutter Packages and Plugins - A Look Under the Hood](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/555-flutter-packages-and-plugins-a-look-under-the-hood) - [Dart - a language believed dead, experiences a new bloom](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/442-dart-a-language-believed-dead-experiences-a-new-bloom) - [Writing truly cross plattform applications using flutter](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/456-writing-truly-cross-plattform-applications-using-flutter) - [Putting the Graph In GraphQL With The Neo4j GraphQL Library](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/257-putting-the-graph-in-graphql-with-the-neo4j-graphql-library) - [Using Serious Tech for a Silly Game - How to Build an MVP with Flutter](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/728-using-serious-tech-for-a-silly-game-how-to-build-an-mvp-with-flutter) ## Related Articles - [Basic And Advanced Networking in Dart and Flutter](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/112-basic-and-advanced-networking-in-dart-and-flutter) - [Flutter Developer Salary [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/199-flutter-developer-salary-2023) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Cross Platform Mobile Development Frameworks to Use in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/404-cross-platform-mobile-development-frameworks-to-use-in-2025) - [Fullstack Developer Salary UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/251-fullstack-developer-salary-uk) - [7 Most Popular Web Developer Jobs in Europe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/163-7-most-popular-web-developer-jobs-in-europe)
