## About the Role

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM field, with a minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience.
Technical Expertise

 * Hands-on experience with Java and/or Python, and with AWS cloud services
 * Proficient with Git and modern source control workflows (branching, pull requests, code review) using GitHub and/or GitLab
 * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent)
 * Working knowledge of automated testing at the unit, integration, end-to-end levels, and behavior-driven testing (e.g. Cucumber)
 * Experience delivering software in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, XP, or Lean)
 * Understanding of how technology and tooling choices affect development speed, quality, and maintainability, * Breaks down complex problems and provides realistic estimates for development tasks
 * Seeks to understand a problem fully before building, and asks clarifying questions when requirements are ambiguous
 * Voices opinions with clear rationale, using data and evidence to influence
 * Takes independent ownership of deliverables and completes them on time and at high quality
 * Stays current on technology trends and brings new ideas and frameworks to the team
 * Adapts quickly to changing requirements and is receptive to coaching
 * Understands the product's value to the customer and connects their own work to the team's goals

## Description

* Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers, and software developers to build solutions that extend our shared platforms
 * Write clean, tested code that meets team standards using the technologies selected for the project
 * Build and maintain backend features such as web services and database queries
